HOUSE SYSTEM
Students at St. Peter's are divided into four houses: Aeneas, Beowulf, Gilgamesh, and Achilles. In these houses students work together with those of other age levels on projects, games, and competitions. The house system fosters another level of community at St. Peter's that offers older students a chance to assume responsibility for their younger friends, while allowing the younger students the opportunity to interact with older children in healthy, directed activities. Students may also earn house points for superior quiz and test scores, good behavior and the like.
FIELD TRIPS
Field trips are an important part of the learning experience at St. Peter's. Younger children will have many local field trips to symphonies, museums, and dramatic performances. Students in middle and upper school have overnight field trips to places of historical, cultural, or scientific importance.

EXTRACURRICULAR ACTIVITIES
At St. Peter's students may participate in the French Club, Chess Club, Yearbook and various Service opportunities. We are gradually expanding our offerings. For the older students, an informal dance is held in the fall and a formal dance in the spring. We also have a Talent Show for those students who would like to participate. Beginning Monday, November 14, Chess Club will meet weekly for practice from 3:30 to 4:30. Students are encouraged to attend as often as they are able. Please bring your chess set when attending so you'll be able to play. The monthly Chess Club Meeting will continue to be the 2nd Monday of the month.
LESSONS & CAROLS
Every Christmas the St. Peter's community celebrates the Nativity of Christ with the service of Lessons and Carols. Combining Bible readings and traditional hymns of the season, this service is a warm and beautiful reflection on the mystery of God coming to live among his creation. For many families, it has become an important evening in their efforts to preserve the true purpose of Christmas.
CLASSICS FESTIVAL
Each year St. Peter's celebrates its Classics Festival with games, food, contests, and performances. It's a great time of fun with the outlandish trappings of mythological imagination, and the genuine fellowship of a warm and welcoming community.
MOVING UP CEREMONY
St. Peter's marks the end of the academic year in this ceremony, in which all students "move up" to the next grade. The next year's seniors are presented with their senior blazers, and various academic and House awards are given out.
